While taking a walk with Mouse, Bear meets many other friends and sees colors everywhere.

One by one, a whole host of different animals and birds find their way out of the cold and into Bear's cave to warm up. But even after the tea has been brewed and the corn has been popped, Bear just snores on! See what happens when he finally wakes up and finds his cave full of uninvited guests -- all of them having a party without him!

Bear's friends awaken him the day before Christmas and help him to stay awake as they bake fruitcakes, fill stockings, and sing carols; then, while they sleep, he prepares his own surprise.

Bear's animal friends come to his rescue when he becomes lost and frightened in the woods.

Bear and his friends persuade a bashful owl to play with them.

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. It's Christmas Eve, and the entire house is sleeping -- except one boy, woken by the clatter of hooves on the roof. As he tiptoes downstairs, who will he find?

When spring comes, Bear wakes up very hungry and is treated to great food by his friends.

As the scary Snorklum stomps home to his cave, he encounters a mole, a rabbit, and a badger, who see through his attempts to frighten them.
